SARAWONG SPRING/SUMMER 2026 COLLECTION

The SARAWONG Spring/Summer 2026 collection is rooted in a deep reflection on the idea of inner lightness, inspired by a passage from the Diamond Sutra: “Let the mind arise through non-attachment.” This principle, which encourages freedom from material and mental attachments in order to find clarity and serenity, becomes the guiding vision of the collection. The title NOWHERE embodies this philosophy in its very duality. Read one way, it is “no where”—a dissolving of fixed boundaries, a release from attachments that weigh down the spirit. Read another way, it becomes “now here”—a presence in the moment, where lightness is found not in escape but in awareness. Between these two meanings lies the essence of the collection: a fashion language that is both untethered and deeply present, allowing the wearer to inhabit a state of clarity and grace.

It is not minimalism in a strict sense, but rather a form of luxury defined by perspective, balance, and the quality of details. Nature and its spring awakening complete this spiritual inspiration, translating into an aesthetic that balances freshness with refinement. Blooming gardens are transformed into prints and embroideries, with five floral symbols as central themes like the cardamom, evoking youth and grace and the orchid, a long-standing emblem of elegance and virtue. The collection bridges East and West. From Chinese tradition come fluid lines and a thoughtful use of space reminiscent of landscape painting and Zen aesthetics. From European heritage arrive court lace and more structured silhouettes. The dialogue between these two worlds shapes a contemporary and sophisticated design language that enhances both.

The color palette reflects the vibrancy of the season: luminous bases of white, ivory, and blush are enriched by floral tones such as chrysanthemum yellow, cardamom green, and soft orchid lilac and pink. Accents of blue and metallic highlights in silver and gold add depth, evoking water and summer light. Materials and craftsmanship lie at the heart of the collection, reaffirming the brand’s artisanal DNA. Silks and jacquards feature hand-painted floral motifs and laser-cut detailing. Haute couture embroidery takes center stage: shimmering glass beadwork, narrative-driven Indian embroidery, and sequins applied with the precision of fine jewelry. A notable innovation this season is the use of traditional Chinese cord weaving, recognized as intangible cultural heritage, which creates three- dimensional floral structures with a striking sculptural effect.

Each garment is the result of a complex, time-intensive process that can require hundreds of hours of meticulous handwork. These are not just clothes, but unique pieces where aesthetic research, craftsmanship, and contemporary vision converge. “In this collection, I wanted to express the lightness of detachment and the quiet strength of nature,” explains creative director Sara Wong. “The Diamond Sutra guided me toward a vision of fashion that avoids excess, focusing instead on substance, where time, quality, and awareness take center stage.”With Spring/Summer 2026, SARAWONG reaffirms its ability to merge cultural heritage, artisanal techniques, and international design, presenting a collection that interprets luxury as a balance of tradition, innovation, and meaning.
