VAILLANT SPRING/SUMMER 2025 COLLECTION
VAILLANTES is a collection inspired for and by the powerful, strong, vibrant, electrifying woman of today. In this majestic location of La Poste du Louvre, restructured by architect Dominique Perrault in 2022, the VAILLANT SS25 collection highlights and defends our freedom, friendship, and strength – as defining the essence of what VAILLANT stands for. Vaillant Spring/Summer 2025 Collection has an overt southern Spanish touch, inhibiting a scorching sunny flamenco in its threads, in an ensemble with a multitude of refs to a mid-1960s Parisian spirit and its blazing optimism. Who could resist such a combination?
Generosity in volume is further a striking and remarkable feat throughout VAILLANT SS25, while we continuously experience echoes and fragments of a past future – as if imbued with memories, we cannot give up our perpetual quest for new concepts of beauty. We sense an air of romance, emanating from this collection, our paradoxical nostalgia to an almost forgotten futurism: the contemporary exploration of convergence between activewear and sophistication appears entangled, embedded and adorned with feather pompoms, crystal dot prints, maxi Parisian titi bandana, feather stole, rain hat, or cocoon coat.
Vaillant Spring/Summer 2024 opening look is exquisite play with textures and volumes, featuring a backless leather top with lace details, strongly contrasting between brawnily firm and ticklishly delicate materials. The look is completed by technical nylon trousers, embellished with an asymmetrical oversized front ruffle, engendering an unparalleled idiosyncratic type of movement.
The Majorelle silk taffeta dress is a powerful piece that, once more, brings a combination of robustness and finesse to the collection. Its straightforward minimalist base lines are brought forward by intense colour that perfectly highlights the silhouette of the Vaillant woman. With its subtle leg-revealing pleats and asymmetrical design, the voluminous skirt is a further remarkable and essential feature.
The refined restraint of the tailored jacket makes this an essential piece of the Vaillantes collection. The structured jacket cinches at the waist and flares out significantly at the bottom, playing with considerable volume. It is accessorized with a hood adorned with large rhinestones and a white PVC balloon bag. Pieces inspired by everyday objects like rain hats and supermarket bags, reworked in a play of materials, provide a singular contemporary dimension.
This ostrich feather coat adorned with tassels was designed in collaboration with Atelier Marcy in Ile-de-France. It features Hispanic inspirations from Flamenco dance, with a subtle wink to Cristobal. This oversized and lightweight piece is both bold and elegant. The wide sleeves add to the surprising silhouette of this coat, making it a centerpiece of the Vaillant wardrobe.
*La poste du Louvre was, at its creation, the first postal factory serving all the mail of the capital. In this industrial hive with a modern and complex structure, there is a mix of harmony, technique, and functionality that constitutes the forgotten value of this building. It was architect Dominique Perrault who, in 2020, restructured the building to make it a mixed-use urban block.
