NEHERA SPRING/SUMMER 2024

In Look 25 of Nehera‘s Spring Collection, Ladislav Zdút introduces a black linen blend jumpsuit paired with a sleeveless jacket, all elegantly complemented by a crisp poplin shirt. As he eloquently quoted Pina Bausch, “Dance, dance, otherwise we are lost,” Zdút invites us to delve into the profound essence of this ensemble.

The connection between this clean-lined outfit and the discipline of a dancer-choreographer like Pina Bausch is palpable. Bausch’s work, imbued with ritualistic elements, resonates with the meticulous craftsmanship evident in Nehera‘s collection. The accompanying look book, shot amidst a labyrinthine maze in a Bratislava cornfield, portrays a trio of models, encapsulating the power of sisterhood. Here, Zdút and his team interpret Bausch’s words as an encouragement to let loose, inviting us all to “put the hair down from time to time and dance.”

Airiness and freedom reign supreme in Nehera’s spring lineup. A-line silhouettes and voluminous shapes harmonize effortlessly with the brand’s signature tailored elements. Slip shirts cascade in a natural drape beneath jacket hems, while palazzo pants boast daringly deep slits. Delving into the archives, an N logo from 1931 adorns pajama-inspired separates, adding a touch of heritage to the contemporary collection.

Zdút’s description of the palette as “dreamy, romantic, slightly blurred” perfectly encapsulates the ethereal quality of the collection. It seeks to capture the “stereoscopic effect” that washes over us when we shift our gaze after staring into the sun. A meticulous double dying process breathes life into a charming checked dress, crowned with a languid scarf detail, bringing substance to this conceptual vision.

Linen, steeped in tradition in Slovakia, takes center stage, appearing in various forms—from crushed to twill and jersey weaves. The collection also embraces tropical wool and papery poplins, creating a tactile feast that underpins the expansive mood that permeates every piece. Zdút’s vision, aptly termed “comfidence,” marries comfort with confidence, promising wearers a sense of ease and empowerment.

In Nehera’s Spring Collection, Ladislav Zdút invites us to dance through life with grace, donning ensembles that embody strength, versatility, and a touch of nostalgia. With clean lines, airy silhouettes, and a palette that evokes dreamlike beauty, this collection is an ode to the modern woman—a celebration of her power and her capacity to move through the world with confidence and poise.
