Issey Miyake Fall/WINTER 2023/2024

At the théâtre du Châtelet, the stage was set for something extraordinary. The Trio sr9 musicians lit up the atmosphere with xylophones, setting the mood for a special fashion show named “The Square and Beyond.” Issey Miyake’s Creative Director, Satoshi Kondo, unveiled the Fall Winter 2023-24 women’s collection, all about balance and geometric shapes.

Kondo celebrated squares and the way they appear in art, fabric, and music. This collection wasn’t just about clothes; it was about exploring the space between the dress and the person wearing it. Models in square-inspired outfits walked along a path of light, ending dramatically in the empty opera house.

The Fall Winter collection showcased right angles in prints and shapes on the clothes. Dresses had layers with different prints, knitwear suits had shapes that popped out, and outerwear featured cool color patterns and mix of materials. It was all about playing with shapes and designs to create a structured, geometric look for women’s fashion.
