EMPORIO ARMANI MENSWEAR FALL 2024/2025

Emporio Armani took us on a fascinating style adventure, set against the mysterious backdrop of a black lighthouse. The runway show began with the haunting melody of Loredana Berte’s 1983 classic, “Il Mare D’inverno (Winter Sea),” playing in the Teatro. The song, a moody and powerful ballad, talked about diving into moments we’ve already lived through. It nicely wrapped up a collection that honored vintage Armani but also stayed in tune with modern fashion trends.

In the beginning of the show, they focused on a sea theme, but they didn’t use the striped sailor pattern much. Instead, they used dark blue wool and chambray fabrics, subtly showing different jobs on a ship, from the engine room to the captain’s chair. After that, the show featured a variety of people wearing stylish clothes in brown and beige colors. Then, they took a break to show skiwear, something they consistently incorporate in the seasonal lineup at Emporio, before changing to dark black and gray outfits. Some of these outfits had intricate details that looked like barnacles and coral made of crystals, capturing the feeling of the sea. Other pieces were made of heavy leather and draped elegantly on the body.

The models on the runway wore clothes that reminded us of Armani’s past successes but still felt new. The jackets, for both men and women, had wide shoulders and shorter skirts, some with openings in the back. The loose pants were carefully made with folds on the sides and back, giving a classy and well-thought-out look. As the show approached its climax, midnight blue looks took center stage, featuring double-faced outerwear and pants embedded with crystals that shimmered like moonlight on the sea. This was Emporio Armani at high tide, culminating with Mr. Armani taking his bow at the base of the symbolic lighthouse, a beacon illuminating the brand’s enduring commitment to freedom, adventure, and timeless style.
