Issey Miyake Menswear Fall 2024/2025

We can’t speak for everyone, but with each ISSEY MIYAKE collection, we find ourselves in awe. The dedication and focus poured into bringing these masterpieces to life are truly remarkable. The Fall/Winter 2024/25 men’s collection from HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE, named “Immersed in the Wilds of Creativity,” was recently revealed at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, showcasing yet again the brand’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of creativity.

The collaborative endeavor between HOMMÉ PLISSE ISSEY MIYAKE and artist Ronan Bouroullec unfolded through a dynamic creative exchange. The brand’s design team and Bouroullec’s artistic contributions embraced a process that went beyond the mere integration of artwork into the collection. They approached it with a mindset that treated these creations as a diverse and abundant array of materials. Their approach was akin to immersing themselves in the world of the artwork, engaging in playful exploration. The resultant collection draws its essence from Bouroullec’s profound comprehension of the brand’s craftsmanship and the myriad imaginative interactions that unfolded during the collaborative sessions.

Noteworthy were pieces that doubled as functional comfort, such as pillows cleverly disguised as compacted pleated coats. These were not just clothes to wear; they were an invitation to rest upon or within, blurring the lines between fashion and functionality. As pleated pants cascaded down to the ankle, delicate vents at the back allowed for fluid movement, revealing socks woven from a multicolored myriad of yarn, adding an extra layer of complexity to the collection.
