ANTEPRIMA FALL/WINTER 2026-27 COLLECTION

In the hallowed, minimalist halls of Milan, where the clock usually ticks at the breakneck speed of the next trend, ANTEPRIMA paused to offer a meditation on the infinite. For the Fall-Winter 2026–27 season, Creative Director Izumi Ogino presented “Draped in Time, Folded in Memory,” a collection that does more than just clothe the body; it seeks to map the “invisible architecture” of existence itself.

The soul of this season lies in a poignant dialogue with Japanese artist Aiko Miyanaga, whose work explores the beauty of the ephemeral through materials like salt and naphthalene—substances destined to sublimate and disappear into the ether. Miyanaga’s influence is felt not as mere decoration, but as a structural philosophy. Just as her “Cinderella” naphthalene shoes are designed to vanish, ANTEPRIMA captures the “moment just before disappearance,” turning the transient into something tangible.

Cashmere, the maison’s signature “vessel of memory,” anchors the collection in a soft, seasonless embrace. The silhouettes strike a delicate balance between structure and fluidity—essential yet vibrant, grounded yet light enough to suggest the weightlessness of a passing thought. The artistry is in the “imperfections”: layered transparencies, devoré techniques, and jacquards that reveal their secrets even on the reverse side, suggesting a history lived rather than a garment merely worn.

The prints act as ghostly impressions—blurred outlines of keys, clocks, and butterflies that seem to float across the fabric like fading recollections. Even the color palette narrates a transition: it moves from the grounding, mossy greens and dusty pinks of a natural heathland into the crystalline whites and peacock blues of Miyanaga’s dissolving materials. In a world obsessed with permanence, ANTEPRIMA suggests that true luxury is found in transformation. To wear this collection is to inhabit the present with a quiet, contemplative awareness, recognizing that beauty does not need to last forever to be profound.
