REVERIE BY CAROLINE Hú FALL 2025-2026

In a world that often feels relentless, Caroline Hú’s latest collection offers a poetic refuge—an invitation into a dreamscape where softness, romance, and artistic craftsmanship converge. With her Fall/Winter 2025 lineup, Caroline Hú expanded on the ethereal themes she explored previously, creating a delicate balance between fantasy and reality. Each of the 17 meticulously designed looks evoked the sensation of waking from a midday reverie, with voluminous silhouettes reminiscent of duvets reshaped into couture-like gowns and intricate floral embellishments that appeared to bloom across sheer layers of fabric. The atmosphere was heightened by the sound of birdsong and hair artfully disheveled, reinforcing the idea of beauty emerging from slumber.

Caroline Hú’s creations went beyond surface-level prettiness. Instead, they carried a deeper message—one of resilience through romance. “The world feels increasingly harsh,” she shared backstage. “I wanted to present something more tender, something that offers a moment of escape.” The collection unfolded as a tactile poem, each piece composed of unique fabric treatments and artistic details. A gauzy tulle dress adorned with embroidered blossoms trailed with loose threads, subtly hinting at imperfection’s beauty. A floor-length cape, composed of textured tulle with sheer panels, conjured surrealist art, its dreamlike quality akin to a painting come to life.

Caroline Hú ’s signature abstract motifs—adapted from her hand-painted canvases—adorned the voluminous silhouettes, lending the garments an almost otherworldly aura. Layering played a crucial role, symbolizing the multifaceted roles women navigate daily. Delicate sheer fabrics both revealed and obscured, while padded floral appliqués subtly nodded to the quilted patterns of antique bedding. Some silhouettes leaned into structured historical references, such as lace pannier skirts adorned with crimson roses beneath translucent overlays, while others took a more modern approach with bulbous, cocoon-like shapes.

The theme of sleep and waking was further emphasized through tousled, bedhead-inspired hairstyles crafted by Eugene Souleiman. And in a striking contrast to the dreamy aesthetic, Caroline Hú once again partnered with Adidas, grounding the collection in contemporary, wearable comfort. When asked about her muse, Caroline Hú resisted defining a singular woman. Instead, she explained that her work is an extension of her own introspections, each piece a visual translation of emotion and experience. Through this lens, her Fall/Winter 2025 collection stands as more than just fashion—it is a quiet rebellion against cynicism, a testament to the power of beauty in uncertain times.
