DHRUV KAPOOR SPRING/SUMMER 2026 COLLECTION
The collection begins with foundations: underwear, vests, petticoats. Garments long coded as modest, shameful, or promiscuous; and gendered. We reclaim them as outerwear, collapsing shame into power, modesty into rebellion. What was once buried beneath in becomes visible. What was once hidden under the weight of taboo rises into light. Each piece holds time; past, present & future compressed into form. Retrieved from surroundings and memories, to be recoded and celebrated.
This dialogue between foundations and futures extends to traditional Indian garments. The kurta, the bandhgala jacket, the petticoat structures rooted in heritage are reinterpreted within the Dhruv Kapoor universe. Classic outlines are twisted, expanded, distorted; cultural archetypes collide with contemporary desire. In doing so, these garments cease to be relics of history and become architectures of the now: fluid, unbound, alive. The collection is coloured in planetary hues prescribed in the Vedas; cosmic coordinates aligning body and universe. These shades are more than surface; they act as chromatic rituals of protection, intimacy, and energy. The stars remember you. What I want, wants me more. Seeker of everyday magic.
These are not garments as surfaces, but as structures. Portable monuments of intimacy and defiance. Architectures of identity and desire. We design not to decorate but to expose; the scaffolds, the codes, the selves that culture has long kept unseen.
The hidden becomes visible.
The gendered becomes fluid.
The modest becomes monumental.
And the architecture of time itself is worn on the body.
The vision for Spring Summer’26 is amplified through collaborations with Paloceras, the Helsinki-based eyewear house that transforms digital apparitions into rare sculptural frames, and Aïsha Devi, the Swiss-Nepali artist renowned for her mesmeric sound design. Paloceras extends the collection’s visual language with forms that alter perception, while Devi’s exclusive track heightens the show’s emotional resonance. Together, they expand the experience into both sight and sound- illusions made tangible, atmospheres made audible.
