UNGARO FALL-WINTER 2025-2026 COLLECTION

Kobi Halperin, steering the creative direction of Ungaro, unveiled a collection for the cooler months that resonated with the visual poetry of motion. A journey through the Whitney’s Alvin Ailey retrospective ignited a creative spark, translating the kinetic energy of dance into a line designed to offer a respite from the everyday, a celebration of pure delight. The spotlight fell on sophisticated evening attire, designed for dynamic layering and versatile pairings. Luxurious satin ensembles, reminiscent of elegant loungewear, emerged in rich, gem-inspired shades—deep crimson, vibrant plum, soft jade, and classic ebony—each detail enhanced by delicate feather trims. Understated slip dresses, cut on the bias, were complemented by matching ponchos, their edges embellished with intricate scalloped designs and sweeping, floor-grazing fringe.

Floral motifs, rendered in both soft, diffused patterns and sharp, defined prints against dark backdrops, permeated the collection. A playful printed lace mini-dress, accentuated with fringe, added a youthful note. Capes and dresses were adorned with crystalline floral embroidery, while Ungaro’s hallmark pleated chiffon gowns made a return, each piece a testament to the brand’s signature elegance. Echoing the fluidity of dance, skirts were crafted with ruffles and frills. A standout piece, a black chiffon and jersey gown, featured an off-the-shoulder design with a draped bodice and meticulously pleated flounces, creating a striking interplay between structured lines and soft curves.

For those seeking an alternative to dresses, tailored jackets offered a refined choice. One such jacket, embellished with guipure and fringe, stood out. White tuxedo jackets, embroidered with black floral patterns that seemed to bloom from the hem, introduced a theatrical element. Ultimately, Halperin’s collection for Ungaro was a study in motion, a celebration of graceful movement and refined glamour, a direct reflection of the expressive power found in Alvin Ailey’s iconic dance works.
