Han Kjøbenhavn unveiled its spring SS24 ready-to-wear at Milan’s Palazzo Reale, the Royal Palace of Milan. The backdrop of this historically rich venue provided the perfect canvas for an artistic narrative characterized by sculptural forms and a captivating interplay between refinement and raw intensity. Additionally, the event showcased an exciting creative partnership between Han Kjøbenhavn and Sinful, Scandinavia’s foremost platform for erotic accessories platform, Sinful.
The collection, titled “Unlightened Particles,” serves as a metaphor, illustrating the latent potential within objects or individuals. There are perpetually facets that remain unexplored or not fully actualized. This collection embodies a quest for enlightenment and the revelation of concealed capabilities. Han Kjøbenhavn is renowned for blending artistic and exquisite craftsmanship with the raw edge of metal, and he always stayed true to his signature style. The handmade metal components, intentionally retained in a simplistic aesthetic, served to accentuate the apparel. They were notably featured as robust shoulders on both suits and shirts. The chunky leather boots with metal spikes seamlessly complemented the sculptural ensembles.
A standout piece in the collection featured the incorporation of Sinful’s Tongue toy, resulting in a flowing, gracefully flared mesh dress that seamlessly bridged the realms of fashion and human desire. Mathilde Machowski, the Founder of Sinful, further expounded on this creative partnership, emphasizing the intrinsic connection between fashion and pleasure. She stated, “Exploration and playfulness are at the heart of it all. Collaborating with Han Kjøbenhavn allowed us to blend our passions – the art of design and human desire – creating something that arouses curiosity and makes a bold statement.” The collection was rounded out with a series of menswear looks, characterized by meticulously tailored suiting in premium materials, showcasing clean lines and crisply defined silhouettes, enhanced by handcrafted metal accents.
