DICE KAYEK FALL/WINTER 2023 collection

The presentation on Sunday, March 5th, will highlight the latest styles from Dice Kayek Fall Winter 2023 – 2024 collection. Featuring a somber color palette of mostly black, the new collection exudes the subdued elegance the brand has become synonymous with. Some of Dice Kayek’s signature looks that marry architectural silhouettes with timeless grace will be on display throughout the Saint-Germain des Près flagship store as well as new embroidered dresses handcrafted at the brand’s Istanbul atelier.

The exhibition is designed almost as a stationary runway show with pieces lined up from the second to the ground floor. The pièce de résistance of the exhibition, revealed at the finale, is an oversized black coat embroidered with a bleeding heart on its chest, evocative of the immense grief the brand’s country of origin is going through. Dice Kayek is devastated by the harrowing loss of life brought on by the recent earthquakes that shook southeastern Turkey and north Syria on February 6.

Spanning 11 cities and affecting a shocking 13 million people in total, the earthquakes have caused the death of approximately 52,000 humans and counting. Tens of thousands of buildings including hospitals and schools collapsed, leaving survivors without access to basic needs such as shelter, food and hygiene, which relief organizations are working 24/7 to provide. The extent of the destruction in one of the world’s most important and oldest heritage sites is such that no single entity, no one-time effort or donation will suffice in alleviating the suffering of the survivors.

Recognizing the fact that people, especially women and children who are always disproportionately affected by such disasters, will need organized and sustainable support for a long time will help focus and coordinate relief efforts in order to move forward in solidarity.

As the gravity of this humanitarian crisis becomes clear with every passing day, Dice Kayek is supporting UNICEF* the United Nations fund for children, which focuses its relief efforts on meeting the most urgent needs of children in the affected areas, and notably contributing to the ongoing educational needs of young girls across Southeastern Turkey. With an initial €10,000 donation towards this cause, Dice Kayek emphasizes the importance of solidarity in not only providing necessities for surviving children but also building a future for them.
